Newbury Racecourse is an award-winning sporting venue hosting c. 31 racedays per year, including the Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes and Coral Gold Cup, and benefitting from significant ongoing investment and development.
We are seeking a Deputy Head Groundsperson to report to the Head Groundsperson, jointly managing the grounds team and all aspects of maintenance, preparation and repair of the racetrack, turf and surrounding areas in order to ensure Newbury Racecourse’s continued leading position within British racing and to meet the high standards expected by our guests.The ideal applicant will have relevant horticultural/turf care qualifications and significantexperience in grounds management at a comparable venue (preferably racing or sports), combined with excellent interpersonal, team leadership and modern management skills.In return, we can offer a competitive salary and an attractive benefits scheme including:
