Head Groundsperson

Clients Details:
Manor Lodge is an independent co-educational IAPS school for boys and girls aged 3 to 11.

Candidate profile:
We require an experienced Head Groundsperson to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school grounds and all outdoor sports facilities are maintained to the highest standard. They will have experience in managing and implementing a maintenance programme, undertaking a broad range of gardening and grounds maintenance tasks including sports pitches, operating and maintaining appropriate machinery, and ensuring all health and safety requirements are met. They will also be keen to be involved in the wider life of the school, including our outdoor learning programme, and to contribute to our future development plans.

Essential requirements:

  • The successful candidate will hold a recognised horticultural qualification.
  • As driving is a requirement of this role, applicants must hold a current full driving licence.

Desirable requirements:
Qualifications in pesticide management, previous experience of working in a school environment, and supervisory experience would be an advantage.
