The Grounds Management Association (GMA) is offering two dates for the popular 'Level 2 Bowling Greens: Applied Turf Culture' course in March 2025.
Whether you're a volunteer, employee, or someone looking to refine your knowledge, this course provides valuable learning opportunities for anyone responsible for maintaining or managing a bowling green.

- Wednesday 12th March 2025 (Seaton Bowling Club, EX12 2QT)
- Thursday 13th March 2025 (Crablands Bowls and Tennis Club, PO20 9BD)
What’s Involved in the Course?
This one-day course offers in-depth insights into key subjects such as maintenance practices, soils, fertilisers, plant growth, pest control, and new developments. You’ll receive expert-led delivery, featuring an informative presentation alongside theoretical learning on how to manage and maintain a bowling green. At the end of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

After completing the Level 2 Bowling Greens course, consider advancing your skills with the Level 3 Bowling Greens: Advanced Turf Culture course or further your knowledge by taking the Level 2 GMA Technical Certificate in Turf Surface Maintenance. This certificate provides a formal qualification in turf maintenance, ideal for those looking to build a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of the field.
