Save the Date for Two Exciting Events in the Grounds Calendar

The Grounds Management Association (GMA) is pleased to announce the dates for two major events in the grounds care industry.

The next edition of the prestigious GMA Industry Awards will be held on Thursday 13 March 2025 and will kick off the GMA’s annual awareness campaign, #GroundsWeek, which will take place between 17-23 March 2025.

GMA Industry Awards 2025

Historically held at Birmingham’s NEC alongside SALTEX, Europe’s largest tradeshow, before being hosted at Headingley Stadium in Leeds last November, the GMA is moving its industry awards to coincide with its annual awareness campaign, #GroundsWeek.

The GMA Industry Awards celebrate excellence in the grounds care industry, recognising the outstanding achievements of both volunteers and professionals across a variety of sports and is therefore the perfect event to kick off #GroundsWeek. The 2025 awards will feature a range of categories, including Newcomer of the Year, Environmental and Sustainability Impact Award, Community Groundsperson/Team of the Year, Best Managed Artificial Surface of the Year, and many more!

We are excited to confirm that a brand-new venue has been secured for the 2025 awards. The venue details will be revealed soon, promising a fresh and exciting backdrop.

Geoff Webb, CEO of the Grounds Management Association, said: “We are thrilled to announce the return of our Industry Awards in March 2025, especially given that it now coincides with #GroundsWeek which provides the ideal opportunity to celebrate excellence within the grounds care industry.

#GroundsWeek 2025

#GroundsWeek, now moving into its fifth consecutive year, helps to raise awareness and recognise the work of grounds care volunteers and professionals in the UK, with a focus on inspiring new recruits to consider a career in the industry. The campaign has attracted significant media attention in recent years, with coverage on major news outlets including Sky Sports, BBC Sport, ITV News, and Reuters.

Because of this exciting change, we won’t be holding a separate awards ceremony in 2024,” added Geoff. “Instead, we’re combining it with #GroundsWeek which will allow us to truly showcase the best in the industry during this special week celebration.
