Chris joined the GMA in 2022, bringing 14 years' practical experience in sports turf and amenity grassland management.
Prior to joining the GMA, he spent three years as a tutor on the Level 2 and Level 3 Sports Turf Apprenticeships at Askham Bryan College. Chris is a qualified assessor and has conducted many practical and skills assessments from grassroots to elite-level surfaces. Chris was a Deputy Head Greenkeeper on a Golf Course, which expanded his understanding of managing different sports turf constructions.
Chris recently competed a Foundation Degree in Sports Turf Management & Science with distinction. He is also trained in the safe use of pesticides having gained NPTC spraying qualifications PA1, PA2 and PA6.
